Death in the Valley - Coming Soon!

Well, it's been a while since my last post, but things have been quite busy the last few months. I decided, as is usual for me, to set aside my story and allow it to simmer, baste, marinate, etc. I like to step away and then a month or so later get back into it to see if I am on to something. Here is what I am on to.

Andrew Keane is back with Death in the Valley. The story revolves around some high profile murders gripping the Roanoke Valley. Andrew is just coming off one of the most stressful cases in his life (The Reunion Reaper), and with new partner JC WHITT in tow, they embark on a crazy journey that has three high profile people in the Roanoke Valley dead, a possible high school cult behind the murders, and Andrew's growing pains with having to have a partner for the first time in his professional career.

This story has a lot more moving parts than the last one, and rather than having Andrew flying off to the destination of the week, like the previous case, this case will have him staying right in his hometown.

I am excited about the possibilities this story has to offer, and I believe you will not only get to know Andrew better, but begin to make decisions as to the true character of this man and all that goes along with him.

My timeline for the release of this story will hopefully be late spring. I already have an idea for the third installment for Andrew that will be exciting and the most dangerous story yet. Here's a tease, it just might be the final story relating to Andrew.

Well, there you have it. I encourage comments and suggestions because the last time I checked, I don't have all the answers, nor do I have all the ideas.

A special thank you goes out to my good friend Kathy Greene in Florida for her willingness to edit for me, and to my good friend Page Fairchilds, who is a constant sounding board for ideas and suggestions.

BTW, I am looking to make THE REUNION REAPER available on PubIt, Barnes and Noble's answer to Create Space (Amazon's Publishing Co). This will make the book available on both Kindle and Book Nook. Stay tuned for more announcements on that. And, if you have not had the chance to get a copy of The Reunion Reaper, go to Amazon via the link posted.

Newspaper Article on Moi!

Hey there, hope you are doing well. As you can see by the subject title, I am in a featured article for the local newspaper. The editor, Meg HIbbert, was nice enough to sit down with me and talk a little about my new novel, THE REUNION REAPER. She did a previous interview with me when JAMESTOWN: JOURNEY BACK IN TIME came out in 2007.

I hope you check out the article, and as always, have a great day!

In addition to the kind article, I also wanted to share a few quotes from a few who recently completed the book. "The characters truly come to life. The plot is as palpable as a vintage red wine, smooth and full of body." Another reader said, "What an enjoyable read. Reighard has a way with words, and not just what he says, but how he says it. The narration is almost philosophical at times, and he allows his characters to go beyond the conformed boundaries of a typical suspense character. Truly, a great read."

To read comments like that makes me want to stop everyting else I am doing and continue my writing, so I thank any and all who have commented on the book at this point. And it is my hope the comments continue to come in. I am always interested in what people have to say. Take care.

THE REUNION REAPER update

Hey everybody, I just recently added the feature "Look Inside" to my Amazon site, so now you can get a look at the first chapter, and a few surprises. I hope you check it out.

Also, I recently received very positive reviews from several readers who are calling the story, a page turning, exciting race against time.

I recently was interviewed by a local newspaper about my book. It should be out soon. I will post the site as soon as it is ready.

Finally, I am working on some book signings and will post those dates as soon as I am able to confirm.

"The Reunion Reaper" Finally Released

Well, it's a reality, my new novel, "The Reunion Reaper" is now available on Amazon.com.

It took longer than I had hoped, but when you have to do all the work; such as, editing, revising, editing, revising, and did I say edit, it takes time and its toll. I hope you will take advantage and order a copy, I feel you will be rewarded for your purchase.

Here's a brief overview: Twenty five years has passed since the 1983 class of Palm Beach Prep, a rather prestigious private school with a storied history, graduated, but now some of those classmates are being hunted down and killed by one of their own. The killer is bent on revenge.
When Andrew Keane gets the news that three of his fellow classmates are dead, he gets curious and starts sniffing around. Little does Andrew know that his involvement will get some of his friends killed, and jeopardize his job, marriage, and possibly his life.
